1. Who We Are
CompanyMatrimony is a matrimony platform operated by SLR TECH, the technology division of SLR CORE. We help Indian professionals find life partners by enabling search, discovery, and connection within verified employer networks. Our platform is available at matrimony.slrcore.com.
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use CompanyMatrimony, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI) Rules, 2011.
2. Data We Collect
Registration data
When you create a profile you provide:
- Display name, age, gender, religion, mother tongue, city, and state
- Professional details: employer, job title, industry, and work experience
- Lifestyle details: height, dietary preferences, hobbies, and about-you text
- Family background: caste, gotra, sibling details, and property details (all optional)
- Contact details: phone number and personal email address
Verification data
To earn the company-verified badge you provide a corporate email address. We send a one-time password (OTP) to that address via AWS Simple Email Service. The OTP expires after ten minutes. The address is submitted to the verification service. The public profile interface displays the employer and verification status rather than the work email address.
Usage data
We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security monitoring and error diagnosis. We do not use this data for advertising.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Profile display. Your public fields may be visible to visitors browsing or searching profiles, including visitors who are not logged in. Fields you mark as "Approved only" are visible exclusively to users with whom you have a mutually approved connection.
- Search and discovery. Your public profile data enables other users to find you by employer, city, industry, and other public filters.
- Connection requests. When a user sends you a connection request, only your public profile is shared. Restricted fields may become visible after the recipient approves a connection request.
- Company verification. Your work email is sent to the verification service to deliver and check a code. The public badge indicates completion of that process, not a background check.
- Authentication. We use Amazon Cognito to manage account credentials. We send account credentials to the authentication service over HTTPS. The browser stores session tokens so you can remain signed in.
- Platform improvement. Aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us improve search relevance and overall platform performance.
4. Visibility Controls
The profile editor groups information into sections with visibility settings: Public or Approved only. You choose this setting when you create or edit your profile. The service is responsible for enforcing saved visibility settings on each response. Review the selected setting for every section, particularly contact, family, and professional information. Information marked Public may be shown to visitors; information marked Approved only is intended for approved connections. An approval occurs when the recipient accepts a request.
5. Data Storage and Security
The website is hosted on AWS S3 and CloudFront, and the account and profile interfaces communicate with a separate backend service. Profile information and account actions are sent to that service; this website is not a browser-only offline tool.
The login form sends credentials to the authentication service over HTTPS. After sign-in, authentication tokens and account identifiers are stored in your browser so account actions can be authorised. Use a trusted device, keep your password private, and log out on shared devices. Logout removes the account values stored by this website.
Visibility and authorisation must be enforced by the service when it returns a profile. No system can guarantee absolute security, and information shared with another person may be copied by that recipient.
6. Third-Party Services
We share limited data with the following third-party service as necessary to operate the platform:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting, database, encryption key management, CDN, and email delivery (SES). AWS processes data as a data processor on our behalf under their standard Data Processing Addendum.
We do not share your data with matrimony brokers, advertisers, or data brokers. We do not sell personal data under any circumstances.
7. Cookies and Browser Storage
The website uses sessionStorage to remember your light or dark theme within a browser tab. It uses localStorage for access, identity, and refresh tokens, your user identifier, and account information used by sign-in. These localStorage values can persist after the tab closes; logging out removes the account values used by the website.
The optional public profile checklist does not read your account, upload selections, or save them between page loads. The conversation prompt tool only copies a question to your clipboard when you choose Copy question.
8. Data Retention
We retain your profile data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your profile, connection history, and contact details within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics (for example, the number of verified profiles per employer category) may be retained indefinitely.
9. Children's Privacy
CompanyMatrimony is intended solely for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately at the address below so we can remove the account promptly.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information on your profile at any time via the Edit Profile screen
- Request deletion of your account and all associated personal data
- Object to processing of your data where permitted by applicable law
- Withdraw consent for company verification (this removes your verified badge but keeps your account active)
To exercise any of these rights, email slrcoregroups@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of CompanyMatrimony after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes that affect your rights, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the platform.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will other users ever see my corporate email address?
The public profile interface shows an employer and verification badge rather than the work email used for verification. Do not add your work email to a public free-text field if you do not want it displayed.
Who can see my phone number and salary range?
Visibility depends on the section settings you save. Public information may be available to visitors, while Approved only information is intended for approved connections. Review the professional and contact section settings rather than assuming every salary or contact entry is private.
Does CompanyMatrimony use cookies or tracking scripts?
The website remembers the theme in sessionStorage and stores authentication tokens and account identifiers in localStorage. The current frontend does not include advertising pixels or analytics SDKs. See the browser storage section above for details.
How do I delete my account and all my data?
Email slrcoregroups@gmail.com from the address you registered with. We will permanently delete your profile, connections, and contact details within 30 days and send you a confirmation.

Text chat and saved history
Only the two members of an accepted connection can read or send messages in that conversation through the app. Messages are text only and are retained so you can return to your conversation history. They are stored in AWS DynamoDB with encryption at rest; they are not end-to-end encrypted.
We also store sender IDs, timestamps, and message request IDs to show history and prevent duplicate sends. For an account or conversation deletion request, contact us through the support page. Deletion requests are handled by support; closing a browser does not delete messages.
